- Undertake repair work in workshops where possible as these are best equipped location for carrying out work beneath vehicles.
- Prevent movement of air suspension by use of props or stands for example. Under no circumstances should air suspension be relied upon to maintain a vehicle’s ride height or position whilst people gain access to areas where they may become trapped.
- Disconnect the air supply and exhaust the air in the air suspension system before working on it.
- Avoid the technique of clamping air suspension pipework as a means of temporary isolation.
